BRAIN Lab’s Research Site has Moved to The Red Fish

We are excited to announce that one of the BRAIN Lab’s primary research sites has moved to the Red Fish Healing Centre for Mental Health and Addiction, which has replaced the Burnaby Centre for Mental Health and Addiction (BCMHA). Red Fish is a patient-centred in-patient treatment center that provides care for people with the most complex mental health and substance use disorders in British Columbia. The new, leading-edge model of care for treatment and research, prioritizes trauma-informed practice, dignity, therapeutic spaces and programs, and virtual health care.  As researchers at Red Fish, we aim to improve our understanding of individuals living with concurrent substance use and mental disorders to help inform evidence-based interventions and outcomes. Alongside Red Fish, the BRAIN lab is proud to have research sites at the University of British Columbia, Heartwood Centre for Women, Richmond General Hospital, and Sechelt Hospital. We are grateful for the enthusiasm and dedication of our team and the staff at our research sites.
